I was happy to see that ShortList Magazine selected A Cultural Dictionary of Punk (which Publishers Weekly called “a personal investigation into the significance of punk rock, an attempt to inject critical studies with ‘a big dose of chaos and anarchy’ and thereby create a compelling cultural narrative”) as one of the books with the 50 coolest book covers. That cover was designed by the remarkable Sarah Rainwater. The book features a few rogue entries by the irascible and ephemeral Ephraim P. Noble.
